After their historic and unprecedented explosion into the rock world in 2017, Greta Van Fleet have finally achieved their grandiose vision of of bringing back the "golden era" of rock n' roll revelry to a new generation with the "Dreams in Gold Tour."
From their first EP to their latest album Greta Van Fleet have collectively turned heads and ruffled feathers within the rock world as their music captivated a new generation while simultaneously giving fueled to keyboard warriors across the internet. The band remained stead fast with their creative vision and the dedication to their art rewarded them with some of the most passionate fans in the rock world. Together the band and their fans continued to prove the nay sayers wrong as show after show and soon tour after tour sold out as they climbed to the top. Greta Van Fleet have captured a fan base in just a few short years that many bands struggle to achieve in their entire career all made possible by their continued focus on creating music that both they (and their fans) wanted the most. The "Dreams in Gold Tour" at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA was a celebration, a gathering and an experience - made possible not only by the band's performance but the crowd's dedication to the night from start to finish.

Fans began lining up as early as a full day and a half before the concert - camping out over night even when another show was taking place in the PPL Center the night before. By the time the band was set to take the stage at 9PM the crowd's anticipation had grown into a fever pitch. A massive banner was sprawled across the front of the stage during set change full of illustrative logos from the band's most recent album - it also served to cover up the incredible stage production for a massive reveal.
Across a nearly two hour set Greta Van Fleet took the packed arena on a musical journey through not only time but their every growing discography from their young but accomplished career. The band has long been known for their ability to transform their songs from the studio into masterpieces live as lead singer Josh Kiszka shined brightly on every song during the set. His incredible vocal range coupled with the sometimes improvised guitar riffs from Jake Kiszka and powerful bass lines from Sammy Kiszka made for an incredible front line rock performance - but behind them all Danny Wagner was the glue that kept the show together from behind his drum kit.
Through out the show it was impossible to not get caught up in the excitement both on and off the stage. As the night progressed the band made sure to have many iconic interactions with fans across the barricade including even doing a few shots towards the end of the night. While there was no denying that it was 2022 and a simple glance at the cell phones in the crowd confirmed that most of the evening felt like a rock show from a bygone era. Fans sang the words to every songs, danced when the time came and roared for every solo the band gave them during the night. You would be hard pressed to find a better show in rock right now and that is why Greta Van Fleet catapulted from the club circuit after just one tour and straight into the arenas they belong in. Their show, now fully executed, was massive with pyro, gigantic lighting rigs and more that only added to their larger than life rockstar status.
It is hard to say where Greta Van Fleet will be in 5 years as they've risen so quickly in less time than that - one thing is for certain is that they are going to keep climbing the mountain they are on. What's left for them? Stadiums? Multiple date performances in cities? Week long residencies? Only time will tell and we should all now by now that Greta Van Fleet will change the history of rock with whatever comes next for them.
